Q. How much does training cost?
A. It depends on which course you are doing; email for details.
Q. Are course fees tax deduct-able?
A. If it is for your work or business it is deductable.
Q. Is it possible to get funding or grants to help pay for the course?
A. It is possible try asking your local council / enterprise company.
Q. Can I book a course for my whole staff?
A. Yes.
Q. Are there discounts for large groups?
A. Yes.
Q. Are the courses very technical?
A. It depends on which course you are doing, but there is a lot of hands on training.
Q. How many hours is a 1 day course?
A. 6 to 7 hours.

A. Throughout the islands.

A. Yes.
Q. Can you arrange different courses?
A.Yes Lantra (a national training centre) have a large selection of courses, we can arrange any.
Q. What is the start/finish time of the course?
A. Normally 9 till 4pm, we always send out course instructions.
Q. Are there any coffee/tea breaks?
A. Yes.
Q. Is lunch provided?
A. Normally no, but depends on venue.
Q. Is there a canteen or any facilities for catering?
A. It depends where the course is being held.
Q. Do I need to bring special clothing?
A. You will normally be told, but bring clothes you would normally wear doing that task.
Q. Do I need to bring any safety equipment?
A. It depends on the course being taken, you will be informed if safety equipment is necessary.
Q. What do I need to bring with me?
A. You will beinformed in the course instructions.
Q. Is there an exam at the end of the course?
A. Some of the courses have exams, other courses are just for your own benefit.
Q. What kind of qualification does the course give me?
A. RYA qualifications for the boat courses, Lantra qualifications for others and HSE approved for First aid.
Q .How long is the qualification valid for?
A. Depends on the course, the First aid qualification is valid for 3 years, e-mail for details on your course.
Q. Is the certificate recognised nation-wide/Europe-wide/world-wide?
A. Yes.
Q. If someone fails the examination can he/she re-take it?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you provide the certificates and is that an extra cost?
A. Yes we provide certificates, the cost is included.
Q. Are course notes provided?
A. On some courses.
Q. Do you provide transport to or from the course?
A. Normally no.
